Las varas de bambú andino tienen una capa exterior muy lisa y resistente. Las hemos usado para hacer una puerta y como bastones para caminar por las húmedas montañas del bosque andino y hemos comprobado su gran resistencia a la intemperie. La distancia entre sus nudos varía alrededor de los 20 cm.
Andean bamboo sticks have a very smooth and resistant outer layer. We have used them to make a door and as canes to walk through the humid mountains of the Andean forest and we have verified their great resistance to the elements. The distance between its nodes varies around 20 cm.
